Releases
How do I upload a new release?
Open Upload Music from the Artist Portal, choose Single, EP, or Album, then complete Release Information, Tracks Management, Cover Art, Distribution Preferences, and Preview & Submit. Review the saved details carefully before submitting the release.
What happens after I submit my release?
After submission, you can choose Pay Now or Pay Later. Choosing Pay Later keeps the release awaiting payment. Once the required payment is confirmed, the release can move into Partum review. If the team finds an issue, the release may be returned as Corrections Needed before it can continue toward approval and distribution.
What does Corrections Needed mean?
Corrections Needed means Partum review found specific information or files that must be corrected before the release can continue. Open the release, read the correction note carefully, use the correction flow to update the permitted fields, save the required changes, and resubmit the release for review.
How long does release review take?
Review time depends on the number of submissions and whether your metadata, artwork, audio, and payment are complete. Releases with complete details and confirmed payment are easier to review quickly.
How long does distribution take after approval?
After approval, distribution time depends on store processing times and the delivery stage of the release. Partum will update the release status as it moves through processing, delivery, and live stages.
Can I edit my release after submitting it?
Draft releases can be edited before submission. After submission, editing is restricted. If Partum returns a release as Corrections Needed, use the correction flow to update the fields or files that are available for the requested correction, then resubmit the release for review.
What file formats should I upload for audio and cover art?
Upload high-quality audio and a square cover image that follows the release form requirements. Cover art should be clean, readable, and ready for stores. If a file does not meet the requirements, admin may request corrections.
Why is my release not live yet?
A release may not be live yet if payment is still pending, the release is under review, corrections are needed, the release is being processed, or stores have not finished making it available. Check the release status for the latest stage.
Where can I find my public release link and poster?
When your release has the required public release information, open the release from Releases in the Artist Portal. Available public release links and Out Now poster downloads will appear on the release details page when they are ready.
Payments
Why do I need to pay before release review?
You may submit a release and choose Pay Later, but Partum review does not begin until the required release payment is confirmed. Payment links the submitted release to a confirmed distribution order before review and processing continue.
Where do I check my payment status?
Open Payments in the Artist Portal. You can view release payments, uploaded payment-proof status, and whether a payment is pending, under review, confirmed, needs correction, or has been rejected.
What should I do if my payment proof needs correction?
Open the related payment from your Payments page, read the admin note, then upload the correct proof or information. Make sure the proof clearly shows the amount, payment date, and reference where possible.
Can I use a promo code?
When a Partum promo code is available for a supported payment, enter it where promo codes are accepted. The system checks whether the code is valid and eligible before applying it, and the confirmed amount due reflects any accepted discount.
Why was my payment rejected?
A release payment can be rejected if the proof is unclear, the amount is incorrect, the reference cannot be verified, the wrong payment proof was uploaded, or the payment does not match the release. Read any payment note shown in the Artist Portal before uploading corrected proof.
Artist Services
Can I currently order an Artist Service?
Artist Services are currently inactive and are not orderable through Partum. Music Distribution remains the current active service. Partum will publish updated information if individual Artist Services are reactivated in future.
What if I already have an existing Artist Services order?
If you have an Artist Services order from an earlier active period, its existing record may remain available in the Artist Portal. If you need help with that existing order, contact Partum Support. This does not mean new Artist Services orders are currently available.
Where can I find files from an existing completed Artist Services order?
For an existing historical Artist Services order, open Services in the Artist Portal and check the available order history or details. If completed files are attached to that existing order, use the available download links. Contact Support if an expected historical file is unavailable.
How do I get help with an existing Artist Services order?
Contact Partum Support and identify the existing Artist Services order you need help with. The team can review an existing order or completed delivery, but Artist Services are currently inactive and new service orders are not being accepted.
Royalties & Payouts
How do royalties work on Partum?
Reported royalties are shown when partner reports are imported. Withdrawable royalties are shown after collection and payout summaries are processed. Reported royalty currencies and final ZMW withdrawable amounts are kept separate for accuracy.
Why do reported royalties and withdrawable royalties show different amounts?
Reported royalties come from partner reports and may include store or settlement currency figures. Withdrawable royalties are created after collection, currency conversion where applicable, and payout-summary processing, so reported and withdrawable figures can appear at different stages and in different currencies.
When can I request a royalty withdrawal?
You can request a withdrawal when you have a withdrawable ZMW balance that meets the minimum withdrawal amount, your payout profile is complete, and your payout PIN has been set.
Why do I need a payout profile and payout PIN?
Your payout profile tells Partum where to send approved withdrawals. Your payout PIN protects withdrawal requests and is separate from your login password. Admins cannot view your payout PIN.
How do I know if a payout is pending or paid?
Open Royalties in the Artist Portal. You can view withdrawable balances, pending payout activity, payout history, and related payout status information where available.
Profile & Security
Why should I complete my artist profile?
A complete artist profile helps Partum identify your account, contact you, connect your music releases correctly, and prepare your account for payouts when eligible.
Can I change my artist or stage name?
Artist and stage name changes are restricted because the name is connected to distribution records and artist identity. If you need a serious name correction, contact Support before uploading new releases.
What should I do if I forgot my password?
Use the Forgot Password option on the login page to request a reset link. After resetting your password, sign in again and check that your profile and payout information are still complete.
Support
How do I contact Partum support?
On the public website, use Contact or the Partum human Support number +260 571 001 969. In the Artist Portal, check these FAQs first and create a support ticket if you still need help. Human support hours are Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 CAT, and public holidays are closed. Partum does not guarantee a fixed first-response time, but human enquiries are handled as soon as reasonably possible.
When should I reply to a support ticket?
Reply when the ticket shows that artist action is needed or when admin asks for more information. If the ticket is under review, wait for the Partum team to respond.
What should I include in a support ticket?
Include a clear description of the issue and, where relevant, the related release, payment, payout request, account issue, or existing historical service order. Add screenshots or proof when they help explain the problem.
